Locklamp shop, uniquely designed task lights for home and office with wall lights to suit any decor.

These lights grew out of collaborations with Nick Grant. Colin and Nick first worked together in 2006 to design and manufacture a range of lighting solutions for the Stirling Sustainability Award winning Upper Twyford Barn for Architects Architype. Over the years they have collaborated on a number of projects and toyed with various ideas for ultimate lamp designs.

Working with passive house engineer Nick Grant Elemental Solutions we have created an exciting new range of lights for the home and office. Recent projects include desk lighting for the Master's House council offices in Ledbury and wall lights that can suit any decor.

OPENING LIGHT MK2

Inspired by making the bespoke light for George's Passivhaus,  Nick and I thought an affordable small production version would be an interesting challenge. Pivoting the petals nearer the centre made operation of the lamp much lighter and smoother. See video below.

Each shimmering leaf is lovingly polished to reveal it’s beautiful beaten surface and to amplify the glowing reflections of the light source. The petals are available in copper or aluminium with soft gloss (as pictured), satin or black patina finish.

The opening mechanism is a simple hook that engages in the chain but remote options are available please contact us for details.

Dimensions. Open, diameter 60cm, height 40cm. Closed, 47cm diameter, height 46cm. Bespoke sizes are also available please contact us for a quote.

Lights come with a standard E27 lamp holder but they can also be wired for  American bulbs  if needed.

Postage and packaging to the U.K. is free. As all work is made to order, delivery is 2 to 3 weeks after placing the order. We also ship worldwide, please send details on the contact page for a quotation.
