moonlight shop, aluminium lamps shades that project the warm and mysterious glow of moonlight.

A new collection of lamps that reflect something of the mystery of moonlight. When aluminium is hand beaten on the anvil the smooth surface of the silvery metal is transformed into beautiful textures, if this is then lit with a warm white bulb and double reflected within the shade it results in a soft warm glow that illuminates your room.

OPENING LIGHT MK1

OPENING LIGHT MK1

£0.00

Collaboration with Nick Grant. Architype architect Juraj Mikurcik built his Passivhaus on the side of a hill in mid Herefordshire. It has a beautiful double height space in the centre for which we were asked to provide illumination above the dining table.

The notion of a lamp that opens like a flower as it is lowered from the ceiling was suggested. It has tested Nick's engineering knowledge and patience. Happily the outcome has been positive.

The lamp was so well received we are now working on a small production version, Opening Light MK2, available in copper and aluminium.

For further information on construction see 'opening light' in "Projects".
