Interior designer Sue Hutchinson was inspired by the jungle paintings of Henri Rousseau and commissioned Oisin Davis Lyonsto paint a magnificent backdrop to the whole nightclub drama, this mural is the key to the whole design and ingeniously brings the whole space and it's disparate elements together.
On a holiday to Venice Sue had seen a fantastic black carbon fibre bar and Ben Casson of Wobage was asked to recreate it in timber. This he did beautifully with thousands of oak sections glued together into a sinuous curve, it now stands in the space like a huge ship waiting to embark.
I was asked to make chandeliers, wall and bar lights and some steel tables with oak tops. Here are a few details from the finished project.
